Master of the Ocean 2009 starts tomorrow

Cabarete invites the world’s best Surfers, Kitesurfers, and Windsurfers

One of the most important and pioneering competitions of its type, Master of the Ocean, returns 2009 charged with excitement and skill on the waves of Cabarete, North Shore, Dominican Republic.

Feb 24th till March 1st 2009, Cabarete will host the 7^th edition of this sporting spectacle, that each year brings together the greatest figures, both national and international, who compete for the crown of Master of the Ocean, the athlete with the best performance in the three categories of Surfing, Windsurfing, and Kitesurfing.

Without a doubt, Master of the Ocean constitutes a unique event. It deals with a true triathlon on the waves, where participants are totally committed to pulling off tricks and acrobatic jumps (airs) on their boards- while the whole audience, in addition to delighting in the highest level of sport, enjoys Cabarete, its great gourmet fare, its exciting nightlife, and all the other event activities like the Music festival Indepen-dance.
