IX World Cup of Kite-boarding 2010 in Cabarete
Ariel Corniel is crowned champion
BREAKING NEWS: Cabarete.- Dominican Ariel Corniel was the winner of the IX World Cup of Kite boarding, which was held June 16th to 18th at Bozo Beach, Cabarete. The event included 52 competitors from 20 countries and was sponsored by Presidente Beer, the Ministry of Tourism, Millennium Resort & Spa and Medefir.
In the final, Corniel, 18, went against world champion Kevin Lengeree Dutchman, from Holland, who fell to number two in a close fight for the title. These are the only two competitors who have won twice on the windy beach on the north coast of the Dominican Republic.
In third place was the Italian Alberto Rondina, who faced Youri Zoon from the Netherlands.
